The listing, Keltic Winds Bracelet has ended.
Keltic Winds gives a nod of respect to history and the artists that paved the way before her, with this original one of a kind design, inspired by the life lesson it recently taught her. Very recently Keltic Winds was presented with a pretty amazing offer by a big name retailer that wanted to purchase one of her designs and mass produce it. This offer seemed like answered prayers at first and she thought she was going to do it, not only would it help her bank account which i have been starving relentlessly the last couple of years trying to get my business off the ground and more importantly that amount of currency could really help the nonprofit horse rescue/equine therapy ranch that im attempting to start it would mean actually having start up funds the rescue is very important to me third only to my family and my art it would be so nice not having to worry about where the next bag of grain was coming from, so i had made up my mind to sign the dotted line pen in hand when my gaze fell on the purple cameo pendant now this cameo is not vintage and is massed produced but it reminded me of the process in which the original cameo was made, the skill and artistry it took the patience and dedication it required the obvious pride they took in their work, and suddenly i knew i couldnt do it not for any amount of money there is a reason starving artist became commonplace terminology Keltic winds has always taken pride in her work knowing that though others might not like it or think it worthy to be called art every piece was made with the very best she had in her to do and it was done by hand Keltic winds refuses to use punches pre made molds, scrolling or etching machines but does everything by hand so she can call it hers how can it be called art if anyone can do it if they learn to work a machine? so this piece is a reminder to all artists to stay true to their art its a gift
