The Darkness II is the sequel to the 2007 original and begins two years after the events of that game, with Jackie Estacado now set up as a mafia don. This first-person shooter incorporates several elements of a role-playing game in a modern-day horror setting. An organization called the Brotherhood is pursuing Jackie, intent on gaining the powers of the Darkness for their own use, and forces him to rely again on the Darkness in order to fight them off. The Limited Edition of the game comes with illustrations by Marc Silvestri, an alternate darkling outfit, character ability upgrades, and digital copies of volumes one and two of The Darkness Origins comic.
