Description
The listing, 1918 Original World War I FOURTH LIBERTY LOAN Bond support Allies mini pin button has ended.
Offered is an original lithographed FOURTH LIBERTY LOAN 5/8" pinback button. This button was patented JAN. 1917 and manufactured by J. L. Lynch Chicago, ILL. as noted on the gold colored reverse metal. Bottom curl reads: DESIGN REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
My digital photo is slightly out of focus; the pin is not. There is some very slight lithographed wear on this approximately 93 year old button.
According to Wikipedia the Fourth Liberty Loan was issued September 28, 1918. This pinback button would have been worn by those who contributed and purchased the Liberty Loan bond or were supporters.
