Description
The listing, ( simple CHEROKEE dreamcatcher ) has ended.
Got this from Grandma when she donate to this Indian company in Bufallo, NY... Dreamcatchers are handmade round objects with webbing that are hung in the windows of Native Americans for protection. Originally they had been hung in children's rooms to prevent nightmares and the legend has it that the dreamcatcher would catch the bad dreams so the child would not have them. Today, Dreamcatchers as a sort of sign of Indian unity and have been adopted by most American Indian tribes or now called Cherokee, and the tribes for this is from the Great Plains and beleives the air is filled with both good & bad dreams.
They have become popular among non-native americans. Wish someone will appreciate this Beautiful souvenirs. Historically, dreamcatchers were hung in the tipi or lodge and on a baby's cradle board. Good Luck!
