I havent had any luck with detailed orgin of this pin. I have found similar on other auction sites but not identical to this one. It does not have the Pat stamp on the back but an unknown symbol. As information comes available i will post

You would not believe how much i researched this and found many like it but none from1924 which i think is roughly around the time the American Legion was started. I just wish I had more specific history for for you. I fanning you back God Bless You and Thank You.

Alot motor cycle groups wore the iron cross in the 70's an medals looks like something to that it is a replica due we did not have not even spf,or nor any was air corps,army ,navy,.So i do not understand only thing i can think is was made or given to an ex vet from ww1 from a legion post. just trying for yeah.

The 1924 could be the post number. I was commander of post 80 in Rush Springs, Ok. Every post has it's own number. These are given to past commanders that complete their term in office.
