if this is brass finished, why are the photos lead color? are you sure it is brass plated?

Thanks for your interest.I pulled it back out and took a small piece of scotch brite and buffed a small area on the back and now I believe this is solid brass it cleaned up nicely,it is tarnish the camera picked up.Fanned ya.
