My son Bradley LOVES people! And he loves to give them things! One of his favorite things to give is coloring book pages! They are not neat, they cross every line, and they are not ripped out according to the page size! He four-folds them and stuffs them in his pocket! And when you smile and say hello, he says "I made this for you!" The eyes of the recipient light up!
Bradley is autistic. So, if you are familiar with this condition, "YOU get the picture!"
We've gotten him to give something else as well! Beaded necklaces! They are simple craft store beads on a craft store shoe-lace! We bought him the smaller beads to challenge him. At first, he wouldn't go for it. Sometimes it took him 30-40 minutes to complete one! When we told him that he could give them to people, his eyes lit up, and he has worked his way to around 10-15 minutes per necklace! So, really, the necklace isn't special, YOU are!
