Description

The listing, Good Housekeeping Magazine from 1891 has ended.

This is a beautiful magazine from the late 1800s. It's in great shape and is a lovely piece of America's history. It is filled with many neat articles and all pictures are quite beautiful. :D
Questions & Comments

This user is going around scamming people. I won a Shirley Temple doll that she re-listed after another Listia user had won it and she sent me a message that she no longer wanted credits for it, that she wanted money and I should email her for a quote. When I contacted the previous winner of the doll she said she had gotten the same message from this girl. She's taking advantage of Listia users. Whoever wins this auction you will need to request your credits back because she will not refund them.

Just wanted to make everyone aware.

All that is said two message above is true about the doll. And I don't get why she hasn't been kicked off. AND, why are people still bidding, when she states that she "CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE." And, who does C.O.D.'s anymore? I don't now why she hasn't been suspended or her auction removed... I got two auctions removed by a totally new person because I blocked him. He was cussing on my auction page.... UGH. Time to take out the trash.

same here,i am a trusted seller but keep getting screwed over and over !once there is a bid you should be obligated to send the item or get kicked off listia!this is starting to be a huge waste of time because of sellers like this.

I have been on this site since May 2011. I have met some of the greatest people in all parts of the Good Old USA. OH, by the way, If it is an ''unspoken" rule that new sellers offer free shipping, how are they supposed to know about it?

anyway, I have spent my last dime for inflated shipping fees. Free? There isn't anything free on this site. Either the seller picks up the tab, which can be very high with postage, packing material, tracking & insurance if needed ;or; the buyer pays some unnecessarily inflated.shipping so the dishonest seller can make a profit. I can't see a feather for your hair costing $5.90 to ship.

My bad, I'm off my soap box, but when I get rid of my credits, I quit!!

I am new to listia and wonder how the winner pays the exact shipping. Do you ship it then i pay you or I guess on shipping and pay you then receive the item?

I wish I had read the comments again before I came back and bid, now my points are tied up until her auction ends. :( Though I think I have given others good experiences here I'm getting pretty disappointed myself, I think there are a few very young members here, who sells dolls and then says they don't have big enough boxes and asks you to find boxes and send them to her so she can ship the dolls :( Oh well Merry Christmas All.

I love LISTIA, I have only been a member since Nov. 1, 2011 and I have met some really great people. If you are new number 1 you don't put somehting on here that you want money for.....this is like a swap and shop.....I have given away items I no longer want or need and I have gotten GREAT items I wanted from other people.....just saying

@ VBMG152, don't stop. Listia is a great site if you are rational and know how to use it. This "seller" already has a sketchy history. the last thing she listed she also did not send. she changed her mind and never responded to the buyer. that is incredulous. this 'seller' should STOP using Listia and ABUSING this site for the rest of us

I don't know what's happened here but I do know that as a FIRST TIME SELLER, it is an unspoken rule that you list something FREE. at least for the 1st couple times in order to est. yourself and a basis for trust. many of us have gotten screwed over by 0 rating sellers sometimes just b/c they change your mind as you just said you were. I still only have a handful of ratings and I still have my listings free. what is 100 or 200 credits going to do for you? you said you "need money not credits".. I don't understand. money does not get you anywhere on this site, credits do.

Sorry about your treatment in the last auction that made you not want to continue. I have really enjoyed listia. Also I found a magazine called the Mayflower from 1905. I cant find any information about it. If you know anything about old mags or that specific magazine could you contact me at breankar@live.com please.

Wow! You can change your mind after listing? That's punishing people that haven't done anything to to you! I'm new too & this is the first item I liked! Well, if this is the way this site is, then I'm done, too! I've never heard of changing your mind in the middle of an auction! Oh well!!

I am no longer going to be visiting this site...you will be refunded your credits because I will not be sending the magazine anywhere...I was sorely embarrassed on another auction and have not apprecieated my treatment...I am sorry but this is how I feel and I just can't continue with this. I need money not credits. :D I appologize for the inconvience but I can't do this.
