Well my children take after their father with a large head size lol but I do have a rather small head and it fit me fine it does stretch like most winter hats.... Hard to tell really I can measure it in a little while of it not stretched so you can judge based on the measurements of the individuals head

Okay so it is 20 in around my head is 19 inches and it is just a little loose on me but not very much I hope this helps
