Here is a link if you want more information. This is an HP 1040e external DVD Burner. Box opened but never connected. I just never got around to it.

This is a FANTASTIC item. I originally bought it for almost $100 when I was copying a lot of DVD's but I never hooked it up. Silly but I never got around to it. I must be crazy for getting rid of it but I am such a procrastinator that if I did keep it, it would probably just gain another inch of west Texas dust and still never be used.

Honestly, I am not sure. In order to verify a DVD when it is done it has to be able to read them and if it can read them it should be able to play them. I expect that if you want to use it as a player you will have to have DVD player software in addition to the software that comes with this.

As long as you have a USB connection should not be a problem. If I wasn't selling it I would have used it on my laptop. You will love the light scribe feature. It really personalizes you DVD's
