The listing, #1 Mustard Seed FOR COVER CROPPING, GREEN MANURE, ANIMAL FEED - 1 TEAspoon has ended.
These seeds, are NOT for growing human edible mustard greens.
This mustard plant, is prickly, and rough textured.
However, these mustard seeds, are among the first to sprout in the spring, so they'd make a good plant to sacrifice and feed your chickens, goats, rabbits, etc., or just till under when they're seedlings, so they die, and feed decomposers in the soil.
These seeds, may have originally been seeds meant for sprouting, that I grew out.
So you could try them that way, or grow them as sprouts for a green winter snack for your critters.
This listing, is for a whole TEAspoon of mustard seeds which are small, so there'll probably be 50-100 or so in a teaspoon.
I don't count them, as they're small seeds.
If you do grow these, and let them flower and seed, they'll make many seed pods, and probably thousands of seeds.
That's why it's such a good sprouting, fodder, or cover crop.
These are organically grown, but not certified.
I do not use any chemicals or animal products on my plants.
The presence of a frog or toad in the garden is a good indication of a chemical free environment
