i looked this up and the seeds are poisonest if digested by human or animals it can kill a person in 3 to 5 days if a child was to eat them it could take less time you should put this in your discription so people will know so if they have animals or little ones they will not bid on this that is the only reason i will not bid on this as i said i have little ones and animals i know you are new on here so thought i would let you knowwouldnt want anyone to get hurt

are these poisionest i heard they were just would like to know as i have little ones that come around and animals

There are frequently foxglove seed auctions, they are also poisonous. " the leaves of the upper stem are particularly potent, with just a nibble being enough to cause death.This plant is so poisonous that ingesting only .5 gram dried or 2 grams of fresh leaf is enough to kill a person." It really is up to the consumer to research any plant they plan on growing. Foxglove grows wild here, and is in many gardens. Most people who grow it are unaware of its danger. =)

i just thought i would lets you know as some people put it on here if they are poisiones like you said most people wouldnt know that i look things up as i have little ones grandchildren and dogs so i want to know if they are or not hope this didnt bother you.

Its true that the seeds if ingested can result in death. I have a newborn and a six year old (and 2 dogs), and have growm this for over 5 years and never had a problem. The seeds are actually encased in a VERY hard casing, and even when the plant is dry and withered, you still have to work to get the seeds out. So although poisonus, it is highly unlikey human or animal would even get into these, other than purposefully harvesting the seeds. Hope this cleared things up a bit :)

P.S. Many common flora types are poisonus if ingested correctly, people just dont know it. IE: Narcissus, Dafodils, Oleander, iris, bleeding heart, Wisteria.....just to name a few.

thanks i didnt know they were hard to get too they are very pretty but never looked them up before i know a lot of plants are poisonus so i usally lookup plants before buying or make sure how they are poisonus to make sure no one gets hurt thanks for the information hope i didnt get you mad thnks again

Thanks for posting these up here---I like exotic and unusual plants. And thanks to Marcy1 too---because I also appreciate knowing when plants are poisonous.In fact I am going to eventually put up some poisonous seeds myself to what is known as the "Datura" tree---actually Brugmansia, which is a spectacular small tree(actually bush) that is from South America and has beautiful trumpet shaped flowers.This is also known as "Angels trumpet"---and all parts are highly poisonous.

FYI--There is also a list of poisonous plants on Wikipedia--both the Castor Bean and the Brugesia are on it. I think you must use your judgement.In any case the Brugmansia is also an endangered species.

nope not mad here. I shoulda posted they were toxic. I just wanted you to know that the seed pods were very tough to get into. I just didnt want you to be discouraged on cultivating a very pretty and unusual species. thanks
