Description

The listing, HEINRICH C. PREIS~WEST GERMANY~WOODEN~CHRISTMAS~TREE~VINTAGE~ has ended.

This listing is for a Vintage Wooden Christmas Tree stamped from " Heinrich C. Preis " Made in "West Germany". This has 4 Tiers and the big Paddle Fan and the Nativity is on all Levels, each Piece is Hand Carved, some are Painted and some are not, The Outside of each Level is hand Scrolled in Gold on the Fence between the Posts. The Craft man ship is "UNREAL" to say the very least! Up beneath the very Bottom is a Leveling device, that will make the Center Metal Rod able to Turn with air or Heat. There's two squares of Wood and in the center is a Round Piece that is attached to the Metal Rod, Then You slide the Piece of Wood in each Slot to Level The Tree out.
This has been wrapped and kept in a Cedar Chest for over 50 Years as This was My Great Gram's. I remember the Fan Blade was Replaced about 22 years ago and They had to purchase it directly from Germany and the Cost for the Paddle Fan alone was $48.00 UDS plus Shipping was $27.00 USD.
The reason I'm letting this go is My Daughter said She doesn't want it, I'm disabled and it's to hard to decorate like I used to so why not let Someone who will appreciate the Beauty of this Vintage Beautiful Tree, ENJOY it.
The Tree is 17 " Tall it has 4 Tiers or Levels, and the Circumference is 21-1/2 to 22 ". The Nativity is one the bottom 3 Levels, Very wonderful. There is NO DAMAGE to this OLD Beauty, as it is in Excellent used Condition for it's age, You can order the Wooden Candle Holders that You would screw underneath the Base and lite Them and the Heat would Make it Turn or spin. My Great Gram had so Many German Items that She collected that She "Never" would consider any Fire Damage from smoke or the Black burn marks.
Thank You for Peeking at My Goodies and Many Blessings....Free Shipping with Insurance and Tracking.
This Tree to purchase Today will run around $ 500.00 and up. The Shipping will be high and will be Priority with Insurance.

We have one of these. I've looked around for replacement parts (due to a tornado in 2011) and discovered that these are very very expensive. This is an awesome listing!!! I love lighting the little candles and watching the heat twirl it to life. Fanned and watching.

Hello Karen, Thank You for Peeking at My Goodies, Please look at the Photo's as There's no candle's as the Posts have wooden toppers, I bought the Fan from Germany and You can see what the Fan cost and the shipping was {OML} so expensive. I'm sure if You want to put the Candles on the Tree You would be able to but I don't see anywhere they would fit. I have a Baggie of Tiny People and Animals and whatnots that are from other German decorations and I'll include the Baggie as well ....The Fan is Not stained and for it to be correct You would need to stain the blades. The Tree is a Beauty for sure, so if You plan on Bidding, I wish You much Luck, Many Blessings

Mine has candle holders on adjustable runners under the bottom tier. I can see the slots for them in your photos. The rising heat makes the fan paddles turn which makes the whole thing turn. It's beautiful with the lights off. I'd be bidding on yours if I had enough credits. You always have the best items on here!

Well My dear Friend, this is old as Dirt, I honestly have not seen this Tree with Candles on it. My Gram would never have a Flame in Her Home as She was so scared of a Fire. I'm guessing She had put the Tiny Wood Pieces where You say the Candles are to be. All I can say is it's worth the Credits and the Winner can redo the Tree and put candles where They want Them, I wish You Luck My Friend, Thanks much for peeking and Many Blessings......

It is indeed a beautiful piece, I have one too only sadly it was dropped and ended up in a zillion pieces and too much to repair. I was going to attempt to fix it but it was sadly just too much. After many years of it just sitting in my storage room I had to let it go. It was a pity, mine had the candles and it was lovely watching the heat turn the fan. I wouldn't be able to light it even if it was working because we have oxygen in the house. Whoever does win this will have a lasting treasure to pass down. Best wishes for great success!!

Thank You Lisan for taking the time to Peek at My Listing, It is a wonderful Piece and the Winner will be very pleased to say the least, as They can add the Candles if They choose to and the wood as well as the Tree itself has been greatly taken care of. I'm 60 and this was My Grandmothers. I used it 1 time since She passed away in 1964 but Our children were to little to even notice the Tree. They were born in the late 70's and They had no Idea what this Tree meant and I just kept it in a Box, So I figured to list it so Someone else could Enjoy the Beauty and again, They can add the Candles if They choose to, Many Thanks and Many Blessings........
