Great card from the golden age of inserts, when serial numbered cards still mattered. 1999 Revolution being one of the more exciting foil sets released over the years, the "Shadow Series" cards have remained very desirable and trade well on cash sites.

Robert Smith is a classic "what could have been" story. After languishing on the bench for much of his first 4 seasons, Smith exploded as a starter in 1997, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and collecting over 1200 yards. He'd run for 1000+ in 4 straight years, including a career high 1521 yards in 2000 ... his last in the league. In line for big money and big fame, Smith retired at the top of his game. There's no telling how many yards he could have collected had he continued playing, but there's no denying that he was great while he was there.
