I have the other book about "painted cats" ---lol---people painted their cats with some sort of veggie dye! aaaaargh! like a cat would sit still for that!

My kitties would be humiliated. They are soooo vain. We cannot improve upon perfection.

I have thought of seeing if they can paint but I am afraid they would make a terrible mess and would not appreciate getting the 'paint' on their little paws. My kitties have teeth but not claws. I have never seen them upset enough to use their teeth. They lay in my arms like babies. lol

I had empty nest syndrome when my youngest left home. So typical. Felt like I had all this mothering love to give. My daughter brought me a baby Cockatiel and laughed saying it was for 'empty nest' syndrome. Well, you can only give sooo much mothering to a little birdie. I was soon hand feeding new baby birds so they would be hand tamed; gave them to everyone and even sold some to a store. ** I did not like not knowing who was going to be raising my babies :-( So a friend asked me to help with a Himalayan rescue... ?... I took one look at these babies with their huge eyes and baby doll face... I was hooked. They require so much care everyday that it was ideal. They NEED me almost as much as I need them. Anyway, they pick their owners or they are aloof and ignore you. When my husband walks in the door Miss Bubbles is all over him purring and rubbing against him, crawling on him; and Miss Mewsette totally acts as though she doesn't even see him. lol They are very unique creatures and worth all the time brushing and bathing them, cleaning up all the fur they shed is the least of it ;-)

lol That is what caught my eye. Similair. Miss Bubbles fur is a bit longer. Miss Mewsette, (I don't have her pic up) has the medium fur like the kitty on the book. She is her twin. Maybe I should look for a pic of the two of them together :-)
Merry Christmas !!
