I'm not sure , My Wife and I used it to connect to the internet and we had DSL service. I always thought they were the same thing. Sorry I'm not a computer guru

I used it with DSL from our Land Line Telephone Line.

It good for DSL as that is what I used it for. Again I'm not much of a computer guru sorry. But If you go to amazon.com and look up Zoom ADSL Router model 5590 is is listed with all the spec. Also it is priced at $93.00 Thanks for asking

just a question but did you buy this from your old ISP or was this supossed to be returned when you ended your account with them? i only ask because if it was not purchased by you i dont think it can be used with any other ISP untill the current ISP releases it, and if the current ISP was supossed to recieve it back that means they would not release it, and actually expect the person who requested such a release to return it to them. its a question that needs asked as to protect both you and the buyer both.
