Hello Makeup Addicts!

I haven't done a growing beauty auction in awhile, but I have a BUNCH of inventory, so it's time to get another one started. You know how these work, all items will be high end makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, and beauty items, and the winner gets more depending on the bids. I'll set goals for adding more items as we go along. So, what makes this different than other growing beauty auctions? Well, the winner will get to choose something with each goal that's met. Choices will be revealed as the auction progresses.

Pic #1 shows SOME of my inventory so you have an idea of the things that MAY be included in this listing. I have MUCH more, with more on the way. Brands include, but are not limited to Benefit, Lorac, Tarte, Elizabeth Arden, BareMinerals, Ulta, Too Faced, Kat Von D, Smashbox, Jane Iredale, Nuxe, Laura Geller, Tarte, Korres, Urban Decay, Bath & Body Works, L'Occitane, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Sephora, Butter London, Vincent Longo, Soap & Glory, and more. What I include depends on the bids, and will be revealed as bidding goes up.

To start with, the winner will get all 26 of the samples shown in pics 2-12, PLUS, they will get to choose one of the makeup bags in pic 13. I will give details on the samples and makeup bags in the updates after the first bid. I will also reveal the 1st goal after the first bid.

Questions & Comments

I know lots of listians that add the shipping cost in credits to the Gin amount. I have seen it done that way for a long time now.

If someone offers free shipping without a gin I usually take that into consideration when bidding.
I know it's not cheap for sellers to always be mailing items for free.

I had always thought that this site was suppose to be items from decluttering your house not items that you go out and buy??? that is what has caused the inflation to the credit to the dollar value to go up and up and up. And wow that is news to me that the shipping value is added to an GIN when it is listed. Oh, well...times have really changed here on Listia.

Again, I think a lot of sellers buy NEW things to specifically sell on here. If you look at my listings, I have a combination of new stuff and used stuff listed. As far as credit inflation goes, that's because of credit sellers. Listia does not control the rate at which credits sell, sellers are allowed to sell their credits for whatever amount they want to, so if they are looking to sell quickly, they will go for an inflated rate. The seller with the most inflated values will sell their credits first. What this does is cause other sellers to panic and sell at the inflated rate thinking that's the only way they can sell their credits. I do agree with you that things have sure changed on here. When I started $1 was worth about 1000 credits.

I know I can't believe how slow this great auction is moving but maybe they are waiting for that last minute but they don't understand they need to get bids up now so things can get added!! It's a great auction and you have lots of watchers, which actually don't mean much bc that's just exactly what they do watch and never bid. Anyway I do hope it ends well for you much deserved!! I couldn't believe today when I checked the credit rates as of today I about crap!! I can't believe the inflation has gotten so bad.. It's bc those who sell their credits sell faster for cheaper rates just so they can sell quick then everyone starts following along bc being your own person w your own choices doesn't exist any longer.. So all these people selling their credits for crazy amounts of cash are the ones causing the major inflation!! Anyways I just hope someone gets on and competes it's been at a stand still for a while, though some did mention bidding at the end high credits so hopefully she's true to her word!!

Again, I have palettes in several different price ranges. For example, I have the Ulta Miss Fabulous Palette that costs $20, and at the current credit value, that's about 320,000 credits. On the other hand, the Naked Smokey palette costs $54, which is 864,000 credits, and there are several others I have on hand that fall in between those 2...so, as you can see, there is quite a range of values there.
