Description

The listing, 2 Skeins Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed - Slate Heather has ended.

This auction is for 2 full skeins of Tahki Yarns "Donegal Tweed" yarn in the Slate Heather colorway, with free shipping to any US or Canada address.

This yarn is 100% wool, Aran weight / 10 ply. Slate Heather is a dark charcoal gray color with tiny flecks of color: red, yellow, and orange. Please note that these 2 skeins are from dye lot A558 and B707 - I can't tell the difference in person, but maybe you could?

The skeins are a generous 183 yards. Using only one skein you can easily make an adult-size hat; using two skeins, you can knit a full-size scarf.

I used my other 4 skeins of this yarn to knit up a Que Onda Hat (free pattern on Ravelry, with matching cowl), a Noho Boho Hat (from Shear Spirit book), and a Meandering Rib Scarf (free pattern from Lion Brand).

This yarn is new, full yardage, still in its mill skein with labels - and you can see it was originally $17.25 per skein! I have stored it carefully in a zip-loc bag, in a plastic bin, in my non-smoking home.

Thanks for stopping by my auction, and good luck with your bidding!

Gorgeous yarn. Is it soft or rough?

Thanks! Like most other tweed yarns, I'd say this one is a little stiff in the hands as you're knitting. You can feel the little color fleck bumps. However, once your item is done & blocked, it's perfectly comfortable to wear - judging from the hats & scarf I made, anyway.
