The listing, Hand Painted Agate has ended.

This is a hand painted, polished agate slice from Wyoming with the painter's signature. It's 1/4" thick with a natural hole above the painting. I am not good with birds but these look like pheasants to me! This and other pieces have been in my family for over 24 years! I decided to list it after I spoke to a special someone that helped me out tremendously! I believe this to be crazy laced agate from the little research I have done. I will continue my research for the 10 days this auction will be running for and happily update you with any new information I find. I know there is a lot of agate, geode, and gem collectors on here. Feel free to comment on what you know about this piece please! I can handle constructive criticism ☆◕‿◕☆

I have added the pictures of the other two that match. They are after the Coming Soon picture. I will add them one at a time depending on bids! I will let you know when/if I decide to add them! I will also take a picture of the back of the third one and add it if we get that far! I hope that we do! Good Luck!

Thank you sweetie! Thank you for the correction. It was a toss up between the crazy lace and banded. I was going to put something about it having the geode center but I didn't want to look stupid if I was wrong. Thank you for "nudging" me to list it!

Aww thank you sweetie and I love you too! This is a natural edged piece also. I kept the moose and antelope though. I sure didn't know the research would take this long but I want to get all the facts straight of this piece before I do another update! I'm so happy to see you ☆◕‿◕☆ I'm close to tracking down my mom's friend who paints these and hopefully can offer more! Depends on how this one goes. Don't disappear on me again or we will fight (ง'̀-'́)ง Just kidding!

I am no expert on rocks but a crazy lace has many small bands swirliing in different directions if hat makes sense..Lol..I've seen lots of paintings on rocks & I personally find them nice if done right..Not sure if the spots are "eyes" ..Don't think so but hard to tell in a photo..You can hold it to the light & if has small banding that resemble an eye

That's why I was kind of iffy about calling it crazy laced b/c the information I read said the bands had to be in perfect circles. That's why I asked for your opinion or anyone else's to help me out a bit. I am trying to research it deeper so I don't mess up again. I'll pull it out of the bubble wrap and see if the spots have eyes. Then repeat it with the second one. Thank you hon!

Actually this is also considered a agate quartz ..I'm thinking a geode as there is a hole in center..I'm sure someone who is more knowledgeable will see this & give the "low down" on it..Regardless it is really very nice...The birds are either pheasant or quail & I love he colors they painted them :)

I was thinking of running them all together with banded, quartz agate geode. I would've gotten back to you sooner but I was researching. I was also going to update with this interesting information I found. I held up the piece to the light and you can see the bands running through both eyes. Thank you for being the special someone I mentioned in my description! This is turning out to be a very intricate piece!
