The listing, Adult Coloring Book ~ The Life of Jesus ~ Stained Glass has ended.

Some of you may not be familiar with the "Stained Glass" style of Adult Coloring Books.

Here's how it works...
Each image appears on both sides of a semi-transparent paper (see last photo). I personally like to use markers on these and to color both sides of the image giving it a richer color. These images, when completed are absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight displayed in your window. (See next to last image) The light will shine through your colored image giving it a stained glass appearance.

This particular book contains 16 beautifully done illustrations of The Life of Jesus and was printed in 2005 in the United States. You can experiment by using different colors in areas of the back giving it a blend of colors when placed in the light. I recommend using either Crayola markers or Sharpie markers (fine or ultra fine tips). I love these!!

I have been into what is now called Adult Coloring Books since the late 1970's/early 1980's. The books I'm listing are from my personal collection. Some are quite "old". But one thing you can count on is that they are all in incredible condition. I've taken very good care of them all. There are not partially colored images, no tears, no marks what so ever. I have just collected way more books than I could ever complete in one lifetime... So I'm sharing them with my Listia friends. :)

Lolol I've used them in college. I bought them at an art supply store called Pearl. There's one in N. Y C. and one in Long Island N. Y. ....if they're still open...its been a few years. If not, try EBay or Amazon.

Pro Markers are good too.. You can blend/ overlay colors

It's more transparent. See the photo of the partiality done illustration I'm holding in front of the window. You can see my hand through it. It still absorbs color very well. It's not waxy.

I like to use markers. Plus I use them on both sides of the paper to give it a richer stain glass look. If you want a softer look... watercolors, pencils or crayons. I've never used the gel pens so I don't know how those would work.

I thought markers as well :))) didn't think of watercolor .., which I have and also watercolor pencils. But think markers will be best. I have Design markers. They will work great. Tips vary and so many colors. Thanks !!!!
