There are 19 pages of text and photos of how to do the old fashioned craft of Rug Braiding. Also sometimes called Rag Rugs... you can utilize scraps of coordinating material to make beautiful and useful 'artwork' for your home.
I've posted a sample but there are many shapes you can make - ovals, hearts, even baskets!
I will email the winner scanned copies of what I have collected over the years.

Ahhh good question. I'd have to say the set up of the materials is likely the most difficult part in that you need to plan out your colours. The actual physical part of the sewing is pretty straight forward. I'd say its probably one of those things that initially would be a challenge but like knitting once you get going its pretty simple.
