they are all new bags--the small is the only one that lays flat in the box, and I think I have some straight med. the large are folded in the box and the ex.L on a roll. they only have extra lines because they get folded to fit a smaller box, and some folded in the house. depending on what you send it will straighten out when you put your item/items in then. also it's cheaper to fold and fix in a flat-rate mailing envelope to send--hence the folding ones . hope that helps. it doesn't affect the bag in anyway because they are heavy duty bag's.
