Once your bunny, guinea pig, or other small animal tastes these, there's no going back to boring old twigs! Give the kids overseas a break - buy AMERICAN! There are 2 Flemish Giants. Blackberry & Pearl. The thick pieces you sent are good but could use to be longer for them.

generally about 4-6 inches in length, depending on diameter, but you can cut them smaller if you'd like to. Being "fresh" twigs or small branch pieces, they are fairly easily cut with a good loppers.

Thanks. I just wanted to be sure they weren't too small to start with.

What diameter would be good? I love Flemish Giants and we have considered having one or two... How many FG buns are there?

I'm making hanging chew toys for the bunny rescue buns with the ones I have using a natural fiber rope. By Wednesday I should have them all made up. Been so long since I have done any macrame all I remember is the half hitch knot & half the time I can't remember which direction I tied the knot. lol. The buns are not picky at least. They don't care what they look like as long as they are chewable & taste good. I'm hanging them so they don't get thrown away when they clean the cages on the days i'm not there.

I can't forget the half hitch - I have horses, too... Nope, the buns don't care what color it is, what shape, as long as it's tasty and fun! If you've given the buns a twig yet, you see that the nice wood underneath is still a little fresh, and they can nibble a little on it later. They'll be spoiled though... They taste so good and smell good, too! An alternative is to cut the little twigs into one inch pieces and put them in that way.
