Does this compare to an android? Just older maybe? Sorry ... don't know much about this kind of stuff. :) I want something to check email and Listia, Facebook, etc without using my PC,,,,would you recommend this for that type of thing?

not really. this is more for a business stand point. like checking outlook, it has microsoft office, contact lists, etc. it does get online but i havent used it to check any of that stuff. i used it for work because i travel alot
