This is pretty.I really do not know what it was for.I am guessing 1940's 50's Arts & Crafts.I thought maybe a traveling case for hats or sewing basket.If you know I would love to hear about it.I was told that upper class women carried these on the train.The flowers are made out of the wicker.Really wonderful how they did that.The leaves are a yarn.The strap seem needs re-stitched ,easy fix.Fastners seem to be brass.It measures about 58 " round,21" across,about 5 1/2" deep with lid open,about 12" thick with lid closed. Bought at an estate sale about 10 yrs.ago.Winner pays exact shipping from 44720.I prefer hidden money or post office money order,Paypal excepted on as last resort and as personel.I am not a business.
