Okay what I have here is a Western Digital Scorpio 120 Gig Laptop hard drive that comes in a USB 2.0 metal external enclosure, You can remove it to use it for a laptop or use it like I did in this handy enclosure that fits in your shirt pocket.

Works great and you can put bigger SATA laptop drives in the enclosure if desired.

By the way, in the 1st picture all I did is lift the lid on the enclosure so you could see the hard drive inside, the other 2 pictures are with the lid back on. I know that it was likely obvious but just wanted to make sure people understood that when the hard drive is in the enclosure it looks like pictures 1 and 2

Another handy thing this set up is great for it if you run across a dead laptop you can pull out the hard drive, slip it into this external enclosure and retrieve wanted files, pictures and documents for yourself of others.

Yes this is an external hard drive enclosure that supports SATA and has currently and comes with a SATA 120 GIG Western Digital Scorpio Hard Drive. I added some ideas for uses in case anyone wanted to know. You could use it as is to store videos, pictures, music and more. You can use it in the repair field to pull off client needed files, photos and more. You can pull the 120 GIG drive out and use the enclosure to to put other SATA 2.5" hard drives in to retrieve folders, files and more from in the event the clients laptop died. You could also put in a larger SATA 2.5" hard drive in the enclosure and sell of the 120 gig that it comes with or use the 120 gig for your laptop or .... Hope that clarified it. Just was trying to let others know of its many uses.

The external has the SATA part built in for the 2.5 drives and there is a USB cable that goes from the external enclosure to the pc
