Description
The listing, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic has ended.
Vista Home Basic 32-bit. I purchased this new myself from a local computer shop. The COA has been used, but is not in use any longer (I switched to 7). I will include it but I can't guarantee microsoft will authenticate it. Thanks and good luck!

But this is not "A major piece of hardware" so would it still apply that they would give you a new key and under a new name at that. I can understand if the same person that it was registered to would call for the new key but for a different person....it would then look like the 2nd individual is trying to use the first individuals program. Does that make sense to you? Legend Laraine
people sell pc's and the os goes along, the owners name is very easy to change, the Key is for verification. if your not comfortable trying, your only alternative is to buy a copy.
Microsoft wont like this you will have to bye a new key for it .If the key is registered to a working computer it will show up as bad .a new key is jest as expensive as a disk from a store .good luck
Microsoft doesnt know that the machine it is registered to though is out of commission....dont know what to say because I sure would like to have this. If you come up with any solutions, I will be checking. Legend Laraine
If you replace a major piece of hardware, Microsoft makes you re-activate, if the automatic activation doesn't go thru, a phone call to tell them that you replaced _______ (fill in the blank) will get you another key. The same goes if your putting a new install on a machine. After trying the key 2-3 times they will give you the 1-800 number. It a machine and only takes a few minutes to get a new key.
