Description

The listing, Dell Windows Media Center Remote with USB IR Receiver and bonus 2 IR extenders has ended.

Dell Windows Media Center Remote with USB IR Receiver and bonus 2 IR extenders for also controlling your cable or satellite box or DVD player. Excellent cosmetic condition and works perfectly. The IR receiver plugs into your USB port and you aim the remote at it to perform the functions. On the back of the IR receiver are 2 plugs marked ir1 and ir2 ... these are for plugging in an IR extender and mounting the other end over the IR area of your cable or satellite box to controll the channel on them. The connect with a sticky tape thats on the back of the IR extenders. One of the IR extender has 2 end pieces so you could actually control 3 extra items altogether.

Shipping is $7.00. Sorry ... it won't fit in a small flat rate box. Yes, if you win multiple item I will combine and charge the actual shipping cost.

I have several other items listed please check them out too. NOTE: One of the other auctions is a 15 foot USB extension cable which go well with this.

If your item has a shipping charge it is pretty much what it actually costs to mail it. I'm not trying to make money on shipping just break even. I prefer PayPal for shipping to todd@toddlorensinclair.com I will also accept US Post Office Forever Stamps, and in a pinch a postal money order or hidden cash at your own risk. Packages ship immediately.upon receipt of your shipping address and postage payment.

I have another one of these set up in the bedroom .. the PC is by the head of the bed and the hdtv is on a dresser at the foot of the bed. I run an HDMI cable from the PC to the HDTV and clone the PC's desktop ... I used a usb extension cable to put the IR receiver beside the TV but plug it into the PC by the head of the bed ... works great using the remote for controlling HULU desktop or Netflix and watching movies from the PC on the TV .

Nice to see you again ... ... it works with any pc running a version of windows that includes media center. .. I have a pc that runs media center xp ... an actual version of xp made for media center ...not all versions of xp include media center ... it is the same with other windows versions vista, 7 etc the basic editions don't include media center but all the others do .. I'm running windows 7 on the pc in the bedroom where i'm using a similar setup. If I remember correctly it was plug and play in xp and I had to download a driver for the ir receiver for 7.
