Description
The listing, Haworthia reinwardtii has ended.
This listing is for three baby haworthia reinwardtii plants, the exact plants in the photo. They are very well-rooted, and happy with diffuse bright light and very little water. They grow off-shoots, and when mature form ~12" branches that rest over the edge of a pot. I'd recommend soil with 50% perlite/pumice and 50% potting soil. They don't like wet feet!
Thanks so much! The listing part is fairly straightforward, but I don't really understand the bidding part - none of the FAQ articles explain why I keep getting auto-outbid! Is there a setting for automatically rebidding as the price goes up?
The "Plant People of Listia" are the best! There's something about trading plants that brings out the best in people. You have beautiful plants up for auction and I'm sure you'll do well. Welcome!
Great question! They do look similar, and are members of the same subfamily, in the scientific classification of the plant kingdom. I think the biggest difference between the two are their flowers - haworthias have small tubular white flowers and aloe have big tubular flowers the colors of a desert sunset (curiously). Haworthia are generally smaller, too. I'm not sure if there are any medicinal or culinary uses for haworthia. They just sit around looking cool.
