Description
The listing, Satin Philodendron has ended.
This listing is for six rooted cuttings of satin ('silver spotted') philodendron. These are all cut from the parent plant in the last photo (I should have trimmed it earlier- it was super leggy!). The cuttings have new growth and have been rooted in water.
Care: Satin is a beautiful hanging plant that thrives on neglect - provided they're set up correctly at the start. For these cuttings, I would plant them all in a 6" pot with soil that is around 1/3 perlite or pumice - they do not like wet feet! Water every week or two and make sure the excess water is able to drain away. For light, these are accustomed to sitting by a window with diffuse bright light. If you are going to hang it from the start, make sure your hanger is long enough that the leaves are actually in bright light - I've killed some that were closer to the ceiling than the window - lesson learned! For the healthiest plants, prune when they get scraggly looking, change the soil and/or repot every few years, and fertilize only during the growing season (summer in this case).
