Description

The listing, JANE ASHLEY, WHITE STAG: 2 very pretty, fun dresses, one never worn, one gently used! has ended.

these are two great dresses with different looks. are about the same size. both have scooped necklines and empire waist.
the blue is a lovely empire waist with lovely embroidery detail on top. the material is a dark blue velveteen. has a slit at the bottom on both sides. almost wrinkle free. i bought this because it was so pretty, planning to lose weight (we all know how that goes!), but i have never been able to wear it. can dress up or casual with type of blouse you wear. this is a winter dress and needs a blouse underneath. virtually maintenance free, does not wrinkle easily, but a quick run of the iron over it would be a good idea.
the other is a fun, never out of style, and can wear any season leapard print. it too is low maintenance and doesn't wrinkle easily. very multi-purpose dreass.
i have put a close up of the print because the background color shows up lighter than it appears to me in the pictures. this dress is also empire waisted and has an added detail of buttoning up the sides from the empire waist up. very cute. it has a very soft touch, i don't know what the type of fabric is but it is lightweight and feels goooood!
i have included pictures of dresses turned inside out so you can see that they are in very good condition.
the dark blue is labelled "white stag" size 12-14. that's about right. 97% polyester, 3%spandex. the leopard print is labelled jane ashley, size "s", which i guess means small but it is close enough to fitting me that i don't think it is very "small". :) it too is 97% polyester, 3%spandex.
when we were operating a thrift store to raise money for rescue animals, this dress was donated and i bought it for myself. have never worn this one either! i have been disabled with fibromyalgia, and just haven't worn a dress in a very very very long time. so i hope that i can find a fellow listian who will wear and enjoy these lovely dresses.
i will try to get some exact measurements with tape measure in a day or two. many thanks!

See measurements of blue dress above. leapard dress below. these dresses both have just a little give to them and they are quite resistant to wrinkling! yea!

well the blue dress i think really call for a blouse. i am not sure. the armpit holes are loose on me. and i was going to wear some sort of coordinating light sweater under the leopard one, but it just won't go over my butt very attractively. i still do not go sleeveless, never have as my family has always made me self conscious about my weight. looking back now, in pictures from long ago, i don't think i looked so bad. and in some pictures i look very attractive, i think! so shame shame shame on them!!! :) i do think the leopard one would go very well sleeveless and great with the right jacket. maybe i have one? i don't think i do. i do have 2 or 3 lovely linen suit type jackets i am going to be auctioning soon. they wouldn't go with the dresses, but would be great for dressing up for work or dressing down with jeans. perfect for springtime, just a little snug on me now.

now that i think of it, i think the linen jackets still fit nicely. i haven't worn them either, and can't decide if i should auction them or not.....you know how those things you never use, so you finally ditch them and then within a week, you find a need for them!
