Stays on steady or blinks in a nice shade of red. Made of a sturdy plexi-glass type of material.
It is not brand new, but has not been used just been laying on an end table wrapped up.

Maybe so :) However, switchblades pop out this remains out. However you are correct it's not terribly long. It's a baby sabre.
