The listing, HP Pavillion 7230 - dead screen - good for parts has ended.

HP 7230 Pavillion. Hard Drive removed. Screen not functional (no physical damage to it, so may actually be a video card issue, I don't know).

DVD drive, CPU, RAM are all still inside.

Good for parts.

Battery is still intact, and held power to my knowledge.

Does it include the recovery cds and was it tested to see if it would display on an external monitor?

I have no recovery CD, and it hasn't been tested with a second monitor. Will see if I can try that out (good idea!) before the auction ends...

Sorry, don't know what you're referring to. I pulled the drive out and it had nothing securing it but screws. No frame or other "caddy"...
