Description

The listing, One Vial of 14K Real Gold Flakes - Low GIN! - Free shipping! has ended.

The following is the description from when I bought these vials. Please read before bidding.

"OUR VIALS CONTAIN 100% FLAKES WITH NO ALCHOHOL ADDED. The Vials size is 2" tall x 5/16" wide, made of glass, and have clear plastic snap on tops. The Vials are filled with the flakes and have NO liquid added. These are scraps left over from different projects from foil to fine jewelry therefore the gold karat varies but generally average 14K in purity. They make great gifts, stocking stuffers, or save them for a rainy day."

Shipping is free and I try to ship on the next postal business day! Check out my feedback and bid with confidence!

This listing is for ONE vial. There are several pictured because I wanted to show that I do have more than one available (since I have more than one listing on here).

The flakes vary in purity and average 14K. It would be impossible to test each flake individually and the acids would destroy the flakes if I attempted it. The only way I know of to test would be to melt them all and test the resulting mixture.

I pay quite a bit for these. As a matter of fact my cost on these has nearly doubled in the past couple of years since I started collecting these compared to what I paid for the last ones that I bought specifically for listia auctions.

I get these vials from a very well known and reputable source and I have no doubt that they are real gold flakes of various purity. I won't reveal the name but I also have no doubt that it would be familiar to most of us. Thanks for commenting! :)

How much does the vial weigh empty, and what is the true weight of the gold? (If you don't know, can you find out?) Thanks

I'll email the place I get them and ask. I have never opened mine and I doubt I'd ever get it all back in if I did! lol

Flakes are very light weight. They aren't worth much as far as scrap value unless you had a lot of them at once. I don't intend to open a vial to weigh it because I'd never be able to get them all back in and I don't intend to lose any of it trying. If you're looking for precious metals for their weight, this isn't the item for you. It is very real but like I said, you'd need ALOT of these vials to make any money off of it if you're a scrapper. Thanks for commenting!

These do NOT come from ebay! And I don't pay ebay prices for them! I'm not saying they are extremely valuable but I think they are a higher quality than those. And yes, I've bought some of those before too, but these are not the ebay flakes.
