What were ration TOKENS used for and when? I have never seen or heard of them and am very interested. I understand the paper ration booklets and stamps. Thank you in advance.

Hi, OPA ration tokens were used during WWll. They were made of vulcanized fiber. They come in 2 colors red and blue. There were 30 red variations and 24 blue. What made each one different was the 2 letter code on them. They were used as small change from the ration stamps from the ration books.
