Please outbid me on this, I just realized after looking it up that my daughters computer won't work with this and a wireless card is very expensive.

Routers are backwards compatible.. This router will work on "N" and most that came before it before it like "B" and "G" , it just won't be as great as a "N' to "N" connection. but a computer/laptop with "G" will work just as well on a "N" router as a "G" is supposed to work..Hope that clears up some confusion.

It does A/B/G/N and that is why it worked on your laptop the N would not work if you did not have a N card.

Kricketdog: You will need to make sure your laptop has a wireless N card in it, if not you will have to get an adapter, they are not very expensive. But N routers are so much better than G.
