The listing, The Everything Parenting a Teenager Book. By Linda Sonna Ph.D has ended.

Slamming doors. Staying out past curfew. Failing grades.
The teen years can be the most difficult years of growing up - for both the parents and the child. The Everything Parenting a Teenager Book is a survival guide for parents looking for a little advice and understanding.

This authoritative book, written by child psychologist Dr. Linda Sonna, helps parents navigate the emotional teens years, when "no" means "yes" and "I'm fine" means, "help me." In reader-friendly language, Dr. Sonna offers advice on everything from establishing curfews and handing over the car keys to coping with the more serious issues, such as substance abuse and school violence.

This timely new parenting book provides professional advice on:

Building self-esteem
Communicating effectively
Learning to let go
Setting limits and enforcing consequences
Understanding emotional and social development

I bought this new and flipped through it. It's a helpful book thats easy to understand. Excellent condition.

This is great and could not be more timely for me. My granddaughters are 15 and soon-to-be 13 (with two brothers not far behind). My former daughter-in-law (their mother), does not seem to remember being a teenager, nor does she seem to understand the raging horomones and underdeveloped brain of teens. She promises consequences and forgets to enforce them, and introduces consequence for typical teen behavior (like talking back) that is outrageous (like grounding for two weeks for a smirk). Even though I had four who were teens at the same time, she doesn't get that I know where she's at and can empathize. Perhaps if it came from the authority of a book from an expert in the field of child development, she would get it. I'm hoping. Thanks for offering it. Some household will be really blessed. I hope it's mine or my son's. Welcome to the community. Hope it is as much fun for you as it seems to be for most everyone.
