Since the sell is not responding, I did some research. I found this on the itunes site: Can I redeem a gift certificate or card purchased outside of my country?

Gift certificates and cards purchased on the iTunes Store are valid for use only in the country in which they were purchased. For example, gift certificates purchased in the Netherlands may only be redeemed by residents of the Netherlands.
