I know a bunch about iguanas. I use to live in Puerto Rico, and they were everywhere. I'm not looking forward to him getting his bearded dragon. But he has done so much research into them so I think he will do good with it. He wanted a full grown one at first but we talked him into a baby. We told him if I'd gets an adult it MAY not like being handled but if he got a baby he could start handling it and getting it use to it.

You are so right, start out with a baby so it can get used to him. I got very lucky with my girl, I got her as an adult and she's sweet and good natured. I hope he gets a good one, I've read that when you go into a store you should be able to hold the one you want to get to see how it is. If the store won't let you hold it then something isn't right and you should go to another store.

Bearded dragons are nice, they don't get as big as Iguana's do and Beardies eat bugs, Iguana's don't. I hope he enjoys his new pet when he gets it :-)

Thank you so much I never knew that!! I just nervous the cats will try and get it. But the cat that would is usually always out side. So I just will make sure it is out before he gets it out the cage. I need to read up on bearded dragons, I dont know anything about em. He says they do eat like grass and veggies do you know if thats true? Because I know you said they eat insects

I'm not sure about the grass but my son used to get crickets from the pet store and they love those, just make sure they don't get out or you'll have crickets driving you crazy...LOL !!! My Baby eats Kale and Collard Greens for her main diet and I give her fruit as a treat. You can look up on-line what to feed them.Good luck sweetie !! They can be great pets. My girl loves to be petted, she quite the character !!
