This is an old reproduction of a victorian candy box.christmas in victorian times was an occasion for over the top decorations and embellishments.the figural candy gift boxes are but one example.this darling angel is dressed in a wool coat with tiny jingle bell buttons.her wings are beaded,her tree feathered.red wool boots and a porcelain face and hands.the candy container is cardboard.i never used this for candy but opted instead to use as part of a christmas village display.i can't remember the last time i saw one of these items made of such quality materials and in such excellent condition.if you have a vintage christmas collection or just love tiny angels this is the auction for you.all listia rules apply
