A gorgeous tribute to the Spitfire! Extreme detail on both sides. Hollow handle, reflective British emblem with hollow gold planes adorn this beautiful knife. 12" in total length, the beads and planes hang 4 1/2 and 4 3/4" down. Beautiful on display.

R J Mitchell, His masterpiece, the Spitfire, proved to be not only a beautiful plane much loved by its pilots, but also a robust & adaptable design.

The Spitfire, in fact, so adaptable that it was the only fighter in production before, through, & after the war. It eventually reached Mark 24, some of those marks being specialist Photo Reconnaissance (PR) planes, others reserved for the Navy & christened ‘Seafire’. Versions of the Spitfire were equipped with machine-guns, cannons, rockets, and bombs.In all, 20,351 Spitfires were produced for the RAF.
