The "Tickle Me Plant" (or "Sensitive Plant") has compound leaves composed of 8-15 tiny leaftlets that fold inward when you brush them with your finger. They also close completely at night to "sleep". Fun to play with - tickle them and they close up!

When it flowers late summer, the yellow blooms are simliar to sundrops. They also produce long, flat seed pods that resemble peapods.
