I am pleased to offer a vintage "silver" sophisticated safety razor made by Rolls Razors, Ltd of England. The razor comes in a metal box designed to allow the blade to the stropped against the lid. It incorporated a safety guard and its size was closer to the early Gillette double blade disposable.
The case is stunning, with three rows of Greek key design and “the Whetter” trademark near the end of the case. Though not associated with Rolls Royce, the name Rolls was selected to signify the image of luxury and quality.The case itself is made of silver and approximately 6” long and 2 3/4” wide. It was used for sharpening razor blades for shaving durring the later 1800s to the early 1900s. This one was made in 1927 I will offer free shipping if the auction reaches 15,000 or more credits.
