No question just a cute childhood crush: I was about 8 years old and heard that they weren't being allowed in The united States, I was crushed. So I set about my school and asked all of my friends to put money in a kitty, ( which I held ) I was going to collect as much as I could and send it them and get them into the states. Well, after I collected quite a bit ( about $30.00 ) I went to the principle and asked if he may send this money onto them, so they could pay for their way in. He naturally called my parents! My dad and mom thought it commendable BUT that's not the way things work, and they told me to give all the money back to my friends that tried to help. I did - I didn't feel bad about the money, I felt bad cause I couldn't help. But that image of my hurry and help, actually has never left me. AND the Beatles did get into the United States. Hope you liked my memory. It's one I won't ever forget. I will always love those Beatles!!!!
