The listing, "Mary's First Thanksgiving" by Kathy-jo Wargin has ended.
This is a re-list because my winner of the first auction did not provide any shipping information so I could not mail it.
It is a Thanksgiving season book, but you can get it now and save it for next Thanksgiving.
Sorry for the lighting in these photos. It was causing a glare in the photos so it washed out the picture. The art work in this book is beautiful. My photos don't do it justice.
This is an inspirational story of gratefulness.
From the inside flap:
Most days, Mary loves her new home in America. But now it's Thanksgiving time, and her family has little food. Mary begins to wish she could go back to Ireland. Life doesn't seem fair.
Father tells Mary a story of how the Pilgrims struggled when they first came to America. The seeds they brought with them wouldn't grow. Native Americans showed the new settlers how to grow crops. That helped, but the Pilgrims still faced hardships. There were times when they had barely enough food. But five kernels of corn helped the Pilgrims survive and make their faith stronger.
Will the story of the five kernels help grow a new faith in Mary too?
