My dogs have an interesting diet... I doubt this will be what I'm looking for as far as meal time, but are treats along the lines of natural or at least nutrient rich? Or when you do treats are they TREATS lol

most of these recipes i have are for actual meals, most dogs need about as much food as 2-3% of their body weight, these are all natural meals made from things like turkey, chicken, beef, fish, veggies, and rice and some others. Will benefit digestion, coat shine, dental, and overall activity health. There is a good recipe i have for a frosting for your own dog treats though. Any further questions just ask :)

I have been looking for this. A way to make my own dog food. I am on a fixed income somewhat. I just think that this would be a better way to go. My youngest son asked me," What is all that gel looking stuff that comes out of his canned food". When I couldn't figure out what to tell him, That is when I started thinking about making my own.

yea most canned foods served to animals are actually edible to humans BUT, its full of harmful preservatives and that gel may have either been a very old preservative, or coagulated broth, when that happens the nutrients are essentially gone anyways. this is all natural and very healthy :)

I am the same way about researching the heck out of nutrition :) My dogs are raw fed, but I might bid just to see what you've found. Always looking for new good information, especially for the health of my puppies :)

yea all of this is not raw but raw food is actually proven to be the healthiest among animals and humans, most vitamins are lost in the cooking process. Only thing is nowadays there is a lot of diseases we must worry about so its sometimes safer to go with cooking rather than risking getting sick from modern raw food.
