Some of these comments are funny... FCC has made it legal for you to buy a phone, "unlock" it and use them from a service of your choice. Read the ads carefully when you look... You'll see unlocked phone for 5 bills and up on the new smartphones. Cost you anywhere from 20 bucks up to take a phone and get in LEGALLY unlocked at any local reputable dealer...

Is it the World Edition? You can tell by looking under the battery and seeing if it also has the SIM card for overseas use. My 9530 on Verizon was CDMA/GSM.

Bad Esn can mean lot of stuff, Like unpaid bill or stolen, I bought it from some guy here locally hoping to unlock it but he wasted the unlock and also had bad esn on veriizon so was a waste to me and my money , THE ONLY WAY TO USE ON VERIZON IS PAY AS YOU GO NOT CONTRACT .

Not true. It can be UN-hardlocked. It costs 58$ and requires you sending it to a cell service.

Thanks for the info though.

I know that you can do that but are you willing to pay that much for unlock? That's the reason why I want it gone cuz I wasn't going to pay that much.
