Bromeliads are related to the pineapple family. Their thick, waxy leaves form a bowl shape in the center for catching rainwater! They in shades of green and remain so if grown in the shade. If exposed to more light they pick up more colors.
You are bidding on a small plant, it will be shipped bare root and will be between 6 to 10 inches or more depending upon what is available at the time it is shipped. I have grown these plant successfully for years with little effort. I do not guarantee this plant, but if well taken care it should do well for you as it has for me.
