NIce auction! I've been kicked off of obtaining coins except for the standing liberties after I made a bunk transaction on a Morgan..BUT..I did get get my money back without hearing my name on the police scanner..was kind of disappointed that I didn't ..lol..my son said to stick with you for the Liberties as x-mas is around the corner..My grandson still has a huge interest & is proud of his small but growing collection

Hi Susan,
Someone sold you a Morgan dud? There are many floating around. Funny story. I was too stupid and bought a steel Morgan on the street. It felt a little heavy. I should have been carrying a magnet. Anyway, I gave it to a friend who owns a coin store and he left it on the counter with a sign showing people how good the fakes are. A thief came in and took the fake Morgan. Of course my friend had surveillance cameras and he is a retired cop. Without saying, the guy got more than he bit off.

Old dog has been quiet, but has his nose in the air more than usual. They know what is up before we do. So do a lot of other critters on this planet. Glad you son is sticking with the collection. Let me know if I can help with any particular coins. Thanks!!!

Yes I was duped huge & my son saw it right away..Local guy too so I was going to take his dog or water fountain until he gave me my money back..The dog wanted to come with me anyway..still might take him for all the hassle..lol..I got very lucky for sure & learned a valuable lesson..Sticking with your Liberties as instructed :))

I like the way your cop/coin shop owner thinks..people are just crazy sometimes..

Lot of fake stuff being peddled out there now. They even got the weight right and use allows that will not stick to a magnet. I reported these people who were selling them in my neighborhood, but nothing ever became of it. These guys move fast and have a million stories...

The guy told me the fake coin was for display only as the real ones were in his safe & he made an honest mistake but did not offer the "real ones"..I told him I had a fish that meowed on full moons..what a loser..truthfully it was kind of scary but I think he knew I was mad when I drove my car across his yard to catch up to him on his riding lawn mower..lol..I had to "save face" on that one..jeez..
