this is for 1 Joseph Barr - Federal Reserve One Dollar Notes.

These Notes are very special. Joseph Barr was the Secretary of the Treasury from December 21, 1968 to January 20, 1969.

The shortest term (28days) at that post. His signature appears only on the series 1963-B One Dollar Federal Reserve Note.

To find Barr Notes in circulation is almost impossible.

Issued in the final month of President Lyndon Johnson's administration in January 1969, this SPECIAL set of notes represents the turbulant time of the Viet Nam War.

LBJ declared he would not run for office again, Richard Nixon was President Elect and LBJ's Secretary of the Treasury quit.

This left a short term vacancy that Joseph W Barr filled for 4 weeks. It was a record short time and this was the only note he signed.

He wasn't around long enough for any $5s or $10s etc. And although there are 12 Fed Banks, only 5 had time to issue this limited run of $1.00 bills.

So this is probably the most sought after and by far the most popular $1 FRN note out there, and this covers all five varities ever made.

You can BUY 10 points from listia for $5.00. 50 bucks would be 100 points and so on. So 350 points is alot more then $5.00

I wasn't making a point, Mr. coinsinc other than to correct what Mr. razmataz said earlier about the cost of credits. I'm a newby on this site and I am still wondering a lot of things like what are the breaks for XP points, and is it better to place an auction for 20 days instead of 5, and so on and so on. I have a lot of questions still and I wondered why no one corrected him when he said credits are .50 each? By the way, is there a forum or something that discusses the little nuances of giving stuff away on this site?
